The Course

Built differently from the start.

We founded Griffon Prep in 2005 after teaching for three different national companies. We realized advanced concepts weren’t getting covered — and students who were struggling had nowhere to turn, because classes were too large and impersonal.

18 students max — always

Your instructor knows your name, your diagnostic score, and your weak spots. This isn’t a lecture hall.

99th percentile instructors

Every instructor scored in the 99th percentile on the actual LSAT — and passed a rigorous interview and audition before teaching a single class.

30 hours of live, interactive prep

Ask questions, participate throughout class, and master difficult concepts with active teaching that keeps you engaged and on track.

Real questions, real homework

Structure homework assignments that are more than just sets of questions. You’ll articulate your reasoning and receive feedback to build accuracy and mastery.

Call, text, or email during the week

Your instructor is reachable. Stuck on a question Wednesday night? Text them. That’s how we’ve always worked.

We stay until you get your score

Repeat the full course for $475 — anytime, any reason, as many times as you need.

Your Instructors

Taught by people who’ve done it.

Every instructor scored in the 99th percentile on the actual LSAT — not a simulation. And every one passed a rigorous interview and audition before teaching a single session.

Claire Kim

LSAT Score: 180 (Perfect)

Former Griffon Student

Claire scored a perfect 180 — and she’s a former Griffon Prep student herself. She knows this course from both sides of the room. She brings boundless energy to every session and knows the exact path from a first practice test to a top score, because she walked it.

Jeremy Posner

LSAT Score: 175

GWU Law Graduate

A DC native and GWU Law graduate, Jeremy knows the DC law school landscape from the inside. Especially relevant for GWU and Georgetown students. Years of teaching experience mean he knows how to connect with each student and work with their specific thinking style.

Inside the Course

What a class actually looks like.

Every Sunday morning, 10:00 AM–12:30 PM, 18 students, one instructor who’s done it. Here’s what happens in the room — and between sessions.

In the Room

Fundamentals first. Hardest questions last.

Every session is structured the same way: you start at the foundation and work toward the questions that separate good scores from great ones. Nothing is skipped. No topic gets glossed over because there isn’t time.

The Method

They teach you to see the test, not just take it.

Socratic-style teaching means your instructor works through your thinking, not just the answer. You learn to recognize traps, quirks, and patterns. The big companies teach you to answer questions. Griffon teaches you to understand them.

“Jeff helped me see the test — its traps, quirks, hints, and nuances — in a way that the big box company did not.” Will L.  ·  Griffon Prep Student

Between Sessions

Friday virtual review. Homework. Direct access.

Every Friday evening (6:30–9:00 PM), there’s a live virtual review session — free, no extra charge. Structured homework each week uses LSAT Law Hub Advantage (6,000+ official questions). And your instructor is reachable by email, text, or phone.

The Full System

Your progress tracked week to week.

The online student center connects to LSAT Law Hub Advantage and tracks your performance by question type. So you and your instructor know exactly where you’re improving and where you’re not. Week one starts with a practice test to set your baseline.

“Classes were fun and we all felt like a group of friends studying together instead of cutthroat competition.” Kaitlyn K.  ·  Griffon Prep Student

Callie B.

Griffon Prep Student

Classes are engaging, instructors are knowledgeable, the cost is reasonable, and yes, the course is effective — my actual test score improved more than 10 points from my diagnostic. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience.

As a working professional trying to study on nights and weekends, the class was absolutely perfect. Worth every penny. My score improved 15 points from my first practice test at Griffon to the actual test!

The instructors here seriously know their stuff and actually CARE. No larger company is able to give students quality personal attention like they do, and that extra time goes a long way.

The teachers are all extremely friendly people. More importantly — they are all knowledgeable. They care about how YOU do on the test.

Both Jeff and Bernie are great teachers. They know the material extremely well and can explain not only why something is correct, but also why the other answers are incorrect. Those other courses did not hold a candle to Griffon.

Griffon is so much more comprehensive than national test prep chains and the instructors are passionate and proven. I can’t speak highly enough of Bernie, Jeff, and their team. This is worth every penny.

FAQ

Common questions.

The course prepares for the August 2026 LSAT exam. It’s 30 hours of in-person instruction, starting with a practice test the weekend of May 23. The course then meets every Sunday morning from 10:00 AM–12:30 PM through August 2, with Tuesday evening sessions at 7:00–9:30 PM. Class size is capped at 18 students. LSAT Law Hub Advantage is included — you get access to all 6,000+ officially released LSAT questions.
No problem. You can make up any session with another Griffon Prep group at no extra charge. You’ll also have access to class recordings in your student center, so you can review the material on your own schedule.
Larger prep companies often move students online or can’t guarantee a live class. We’ve stayed in-person in DC since 2005 — same location, same approach, small groups, real instructors. Every class is capped at 18 students so your instructor knows your name and your specific weak spots. And if for any reason you don’t reach your goal, you can repeat the full course for $475, any time, as many times as you need.
You sit in on one of our ongoing LSAT sessions — real instruction, real questions, no sales pitch. It’s a full 2.5-hour class so you can see exactly how we teach before you commit to anything. One free class per person.
